Marisa Feil, Supervising Attorney at FWCanada, was recently interviewed by John Gormley from CKOM’s News Talk 650 program about Canada’s newest immigration program!
Marisa and John discussed the Canadian Government’s Express Entry program, which is expected to launch in January of 2015, replacing a number of Canada’s current immigration programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Marisa explains how the new Express Entry Program will function, and analyzes the implications of this program for foreign workers interested in coming to Canada. Marisa notes that while the program may make Canadian immigration more efficient by matching foreign workers with employers, it also could increase uncertainty for foreign workers and could make it difficult for foreign workers to demonstrate their skills.
